Vienna’s significance is not limited to the country of Austria, it is also the most important city in the Centrope. The Centrope region is a cross business corporation formed by the Vienna Region (the Vienna Region is comprised of the Austrian provinces of Burgenland, Lower Austria and Vienna), the Southern Czech Republic, Western Slovakia and Western Hungary.

• The Centrope contains a population of more than 7 million people who are directly influenced by and connected to the city of Vienna.

• The Centrope is a cooperative effort that stretches across national boundaries in an effort to advance the cities of the region on an international level and thus creates an atmosphere of openness and collaboration among diverse cultures.

• District 22—the area of the city the Vienna Team is intending to target—is undergoing developments that will include a headquarters for the Centrope.

• A strong Christian presence in Vienna will directly impact the people living in the Centrope region.
