Donaustadt is a strong, prospective area of the city to focus a church plant targeting native Austrians.

• Donaustadt is the largest of Vienna’s districts in area (102,430 km²).

• It is the second largest district in population (144,289 people). District 10, Favoriten, is the largest district in population (163,167 people), but contains a comparably high number of migrants and refugees.

• From 2001 to 2031 the number of inhabitants is expected to increase by 36% making it the fastest growing district in Vienna (Simmering, District 11, is expected to grow at a rate of 29% and Floridsdorf, District 21, is expected to grow at a rate of 12%).

• In 2005, development began of Aspern airfield—a subdivision of District 22—into a “district center” as this section of the district is anticipating an increase in housing of approximately 6,500-8,500 units as well as the creation of 16,000-25,000 new jobs.
